ALL_news_26A27_JbqrcqT7dVAEWIN is glad to launch the newest 1U Mainstream Network Appliance, SCB-1742, powered by single AMD AM5 Raphael 7000 processor with up to 16C. Supporting the latest AMD AM5 socket, the SCB-1742 is powered by AMD Zen4 Raphael 7000 CPU offering 13% IPC gain compared to Ryzen 5000. With 2 channels of DDR5 up to 5200 MT/s (2 DIMMs per channel) and high speed I/O of 28x PCIe lanes, AEWIN designs the SCB-1742 with great expandability, sufficient computing power, and low-latency communicating ability.

AMD AM5 Raphael 7000 processor is manufactured on TSMC’s 5nm process which provides excellent power efficiency and better performance-per-watt compared to Zen3 CPUs. It also offers outstanding value of lower cost per core which enable AEWIN to offer networking system with the best TCO. While the competitor’s processor in similar level only has up to 8 performant CPU cores, Ryzen 7000 CPU is with up to 16 cores with high base frequency up to 4.5GHz (turbo- 5.7 GHz). Benefited from the large core-count of high-performance CPU cores, the SCB-1742 is perfect for compute intensive applications including data/traffic analytics, timely threat detections, virtualization, and more.

Equipped with 10x on-board LAN ports including 4x 2.5GbE RJ45 ports with 2 pairs Gen3 bypass, 4x 1GbE RJ45 ports, and 2x SFP or 2x 1GbE RJ45 ports, SCB-1742 is ideal for a wide variety of network applications. There are 2x PCIe 4.0 x8 slots for AEWIN self-design NICs with wide range of 1-100G copper/fiber interfaces with/without bypass function or other accelerators. In addition, there is one optional PCIe x8 slot with PCIe x4 signal at the rear side for further expansion.

Featuring the modular design, the SCB-1742 is flexible for tailored configuration per customer’s requests. Regarding the two expansion slots at the front side of SCB-1742, it provides the flexibility to change the 2x front panel PCIe slots to 1x PCIe x16 slot for installing off-the-shelf add-on card for additional functions required. The SCB-1742 has great scalability while does not compromise with its compact size. It is with 450mm short depth for easy deployment at a variety of location.

The SCB-1742 has redundant PSU for outstanding reliability. To ensure the security, it is with TPM2.0 to protect its start-up process and ensure the integrity of the hardware. With high throughput NICs installed, the system is perfect for the diverse network solutions like NGFW/UTM, DPI/IPS/IDS, DDoS protection, uCPE, etc. It can also serve basic network storage applications as it contains multi-storage medias including 2x hot-swappable SATA 2.5” HDD/SDD bays (4x SATA connector available for high-capacity support) and 1x M.2 2280 slot (M Key) for high-speed NVMe SSD.
