NFT-407

AEWIN is glad to expand the comprehensive product portfolio of Network Expansion Modules with the NFT407. Built upon Intel Ethernet Controller XL710-BM1, the NFT407 features four 10GbE SFP+ ports with two pairs AEWIN Gen4 LAN Bypass. With AEWIN's standard expansion form factor, its front-access design is suitable for quick installation, simplified maintenance, and seamless integration across a wide range of AEWIN platforms.

AEWIN Gen4 Bypass is able to maximize network resilience and operational flexibility. In addition to traditional bypass mode, AEWIN Gen4 LAN Bypass introduces Drop Mode, which blocks traffic for enhanced security, and Link-Loss mode, which trigger failover to maintain high availability. These configurable operating modes provide greater flexibility to allow network behavior to be optimized according to deployment priorities, whether focused on service continuity or security protection.

The NFT407 is powered by Intel XL710-BM1 which supports Dynamic Device Personalization (DDP) to deliver workload-specific optimizations for enhanced packet processing efficiency and reduced CPU overhead. Along with DPDK, it offers enhanced packet forwarding performance. Furthermore, Single-Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) enables multiple VMs to share a single PCIe hardware resource via virtual functions. Meanwhile, Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq) enhances network throughput by offloading packet sorting and queue management from the hypervisor to Intel Ethernet controller.

With the new member- NFT407 joins, AEWIN offers a comprehensive portfolio of front-access NICs with the latest AEWIN Gen4 LAN bypass. By integrating required NICs in AEWIN network appliances, customers can easily build and deploy optimized systems for specific workloads and deployment priorities.
