Two of AEWIN’s Network Expansion Modules, NFQ201AL and NFQ201BL, are ready to the market. Powered by the Intel® XL710-BM2 chipset, both modules have 2x 40GbE QSFP+ ports and one pair fiber bypass (multi-mode/ single mode). It is with AEWIN standard Expansion Module form factor of PCIe x8 connection. The front-access design makes them easy to maintain/service and the modules are compatible with various kinds of AEWIN existing platforms providing great flexibility to tailor the configurations required for each solution.

With Dynamic Device Personalization (DDP), workload-specific optimizations can be enabled by a programmable pipeline for improved packet processing efficiency. Along with DPDK, it offers enhanced packet forwarding performance. To achieve the utmost utility of the system, single-Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) allows PCIe extensions among multiple VMs to enhance I/O performance. Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq) is supported to improve throughput by offloading mechanism that reduces the load on the hypervisor and improves network throughput for VMs.

Its network Bypass is available to ensure maximum availability in catastrophic events. NFQ201AL is with MCU controlled Bypass with configurable modes to keep network packet flowing through the network. NFQ201BL is with single mode Bypass and its throughput-guaranteed distance can be extended to kilometers for wide-range deployment. With the outstanding features above, both AEWIN Network Expansion Modules are aimed to fulfill the demanding requirements of next-generation network solution for diverse applications.
