AEWIN SCB-1945 Performant 1U Network Appliance Powered by AMD Siena
AEWIN is glad to announce the latest high-performance model, SCB-1945, powered by the latest AMD Zen 4c EPYC 8004 CPUs (Siena). AEWIN SCB-1945 is a single-socket network appliance powered by AMD Siena CPUs with up to 64 cores and 225W TDP, supporting 4x PCIe 5.0 x8 slots for AEWIN self-design NICs with wide range of 1-100G copper/fiber interfaces with/without bypass function or other accelerators and PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. The SCB-1945 provides the flexibility to change the 2x PCIe slots to 1x PCIe x16 slot for standard PCIe form factor which can install off-the-shelf add-on card for additional functions required. It can support 400G NIC card installed such as Nvidia Mellanox PCIe 5.0 NIC.
Benefited from the 4th Gen AMD EPYC CPU family of workload-optimized processors, SCB-1945 features a high-density form factor, excellent TCO and energy efficiency for networking and storage, making it ideal for intelligent edge deployment. SCB-1945 provides up to 6 storage devices in the compact 1U appliance. Front storage is a great convenience for customers who want faster & easier access. They can also choose to have internal storage with high capacity support, native SATA/mSATA SSDs. The mainboard itself also supports dual M.2 2280 NVMe SSD as high capacity OS boot devices. In addition, Compute Express Link (CXL) is supported for efficient communication between CPU, GPU, and FPGA accelerators to achieve excellent performance and low latency with shared memory resources.
Regarding the reliability and cybersecurity, the SCB-1945 supports OT006B module for AEWIN Trusted Secure Boot (TSB V2 module) to deliver firmware resiliency by protecting against data corruption and tampering. In addition, the system supports TPM 2.0 module to protect its boot-up process.
Virtualization is supported to accomplish ultimate utilization and great scalability which make SCB-1945 a perfect network appliance. The excellent performance, rich I/O, advanced security technologies, and extraordinary expandability would not compromise the size of the SCB-1945. The SCB-1945 is a 1U platform for easy deployment to accomplish real-time applications in the edge networks.
