AEWIN Launches NFU203 and NFD401: 200GbE/100GbE PCIe Gen5 Modules for High-Speed Networking

AEWIN is glad to launch its latest high throughput Network Expansion Modules, the NFU203 and the NFD401, designed to meet the growing demand for high-speed networking in AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and data center environments. Built upon Intel Ethernet Controller E830-CCAM1, the NFU203 delivers dual-port 100GbE connectivity, while the NFD401 provides four-port 25GbE connectivity. Both modules feature AEWIN's standard expansion form factor with a PCIe Gen5 x8 interface and a front-access design for quick installation, simplified maintenance, and seamless integration across a wide range of AEWIN platforms. 
Both modules support AEWIN Gen4 LAN Bypass to maximize network resilience and operational flexibility. In addition to traditional bypass mode, AEWIN Gen4 LAN Bypass introduces drop mode, which blocks traffic for enhanced security, and link-loss Mode, which triggers failover to maintain high availability. These configurable operating modes provide greater flexibility to allow network behavior to be optimized according to deployment priorities such as service continuity or security protection.


Built for demanding networking workloads, the NFU203 and NFD401 leverage Dynamic Device Personalization (DDP) to deliver workload-specific optimizations for superior packet processing efficiency and reduced CPU overhead. Along with DPDK, they deliver elevated packet forwarding performance. To maximize system efficiency, Single-Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) enables multiple VMs to share a single PCIe hardware resource via virtual functions, significantly boosting I/O performance. Meanwhile, Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq) maximizes network throughput by offloading packet sorting and queue management from the hypervisor to the Intel Ethernet controller.
