Desktop Network Appliance 7912
AEWIN
proudly introduces the SCB-7912, a compact desktop network appliance powered by the Intel Atom X7405C/X7809C processor (codenamed Amston Lake-C). Featuring dual DC power input for power redundancy, the SCB-7912 is designed to deliver resilient and uninterrupted edge connectivity for entry-level and edge networking environments. It combines the power efficiency of the latest Intel architecture with system-level reliability to provide a stable foundation for edge networking solutions.

SCB-7912 is equipped with DDR5 memory of up to 16GB and a maximum data rate of 4800MHz to offer higher bandwidth and increased power efficiency compared to previous DDR generations. Enhanced memory performance accelerates packet processing and reduces latency for data-intensive network workloads. This empowers responsive and stable operation for network security, traffic management, and continuously operating edge workloads.

SCB-7912 features a comprehensive I/O configuration including 2x 10GbE SFP+, 4x 2.5G RJ45, 4x 1GbE RJ45, and 4x 1GbE SFP ports. Flexible expansion is supported through one 2.5” storage bay and three M.2 slots (1x E key, 1x B key, 1x M key) to allow the integration of 5G modules with SIM slot for high-speed & low-latency wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 6E modules for higher throughput & transmission efficiency, and storage modules for local data expansion. Additional interfaces include 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x RS232 COM port, and 1x RJ45 console port for system management and maintenance.

A key differentiator of SCB-7912 is its dual DC power input design. It provides power redundancy to strengthen system availability and operational resilience. This design enables entry-level deployments to achieve advanced reliability typically associated with higher-end platforms which make SCB-7912 well suited for remote, distributed, or unmanned edge sites where uninterrupted operation is critical.

From a security perspective, SCB-7912 integrates Intel AES-NI to accelerate encryption and decryption workloads which maintain strong security performance without compromising system responsiveness. The platform with Intel Atom X7000C supports hardware-based security technologies such as discrete TPM and Intel PTT (Platform Trust Technology) for system reliability and data protection, along with Intel Boot Guard and Intel OS Guard to protect the platform during boot and runtime.

With a compact desktop form factor, rich I/O, extensive wired and wireless connectivity, dual DC power input support, and robust hardware security, SCB-7912 serves as an ideal platform for uCPE, firewall, SD-WAN, cybersecurity, and edge networking applications. It helps enterprises deploy secure, reliable, and power-efficient network services while keeping total cost of ownership under control.
