Performant Network Appliances and Edge Servers Powered by Intel Xeon Scalable Processor Enable Extreme Network Transmission

AEWIN presents flagship series of High-Performance Network Appliances to enable extreme network transmission for diverse applications. Benefitted by the rich PCIe Gen5 resources of Intel 5th Gen Xeon Scalable Processors, platforms designed with them are built with multiple expansion slots supporting high throughput NICs, multiple NVMe SSD, or other accelerators. AEWIN designs three flagship series based on Intel Emerald Rapids SP to fulfill the markets of Networking, Storage, and Edge Computing.

With Single CPU, two models with 1U (SCB-1941) and 2U (SCB-1943) form factors are ready for different workload required. With dual CPUs, AEWIN offers 2U performant platforms, SCB-1942 Series, powered by Intel 5th Gen Xeon Scalable Processors for higher computing power. The platforms support fast speed DDR5 memory to handle large amounts of data efficiently. Featuring great expandability, the 1U platforms offer 4x PCIe Gen5 slots and the 2U platforms support up to 8x PCIe Gen5 slots for versatile solutions.

AEWIN offers self-design NICs with 1G to 200G copper/fiber interfaces with/without bypass function which can easily meet specific requirements in each use case. The models also provide the flexibility to switch 2x PCIe Gen5 x8 slots to 1x standard PCIe Gen5 x16 slot for PCI-SIG form factor cards such 400GbE NIC cards. Moreover, Intel Data Streaming Accelerator (DSA) is supported to optimize the transmission and speed up data movement for Networking.

To support high-speed NVMe SSDs, AEWIN designed U.2 storage adapters for Network Appliances and Servers. Moreover, AEWIN newly released E1.S storage adapter card to enable the integration of the latest EDSFF into SCB-1941/SCB-1942/SCB-1943 for high capacity and low latency storage solutions. For platforms in 2U form-factors including SCB-1943 and SCB-1942, the systems can scale up to have 10x U.2 NVMe SSDs or 20x E1.S NVMe SSDs for demanding applications such as high-rate transaction processing.

For Edge Computing, SCB-1942C (2P) and SCB-1943C (1P) offer dual-width PCIe x16 slots to support GPU/FPGA cards. It features short-depth chassis design of 600mm for easy deployment to enable real-time applications at the edge. For time-critical use case, tasks requiring large AI workloads such as training and re-training models at where the data is generated can be handled effortlessly by them. Both SCB-1942C and SCB-1943C are suitable for AI-powered Cybersecurity, Smart Medical, Smart Manufacturing, Smart City, and more.

Regarding reliability and security, the SCB-1941/1942/1943 series are with dual CRPS for better redundancy. In addition, the system supports optional TPM 2.0 module to protect its start-up process. Furthermore, Intel on-demand of Intel Xeon Scalable Processors offers Intel QuickAssist Technology (Intel QAT) to accelerate data encryption and compression for efficient secure content delivery.
