AEWIN BIS-5121 is a high-performance Storage Server powered by single socket 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors (Codenamed Ice Lake-SP). In order to meet different customer requirements, AEWIN provides both single socket and dual socket mainboard with 1U to 4U chassis flexibilities. Besides configuration flexibility, these storage servers are with just 640mm system depth, good for standard rack installation. In this paper, we will talk about single socket platforms with 1U and 2U form factor first.

BIS-5121-1U model supports 4x 3.5” hot-swap storage bays and 2x PCIe slots while BIS-5121-2U model supports 12x 3.5” hot-swap storage bays and 3x PCIe Gen4 slots. In addition to the hot-swap storage bays, both models are with 2x internal 2.5” SSD/HDD bays. With PCIe Gen4 expansion slots, it is suitable for various kinds of network interface cards with 1G/10/25/40/100G copper/fiber interfaces or other accelerators. The two models are suitable for various kinds of demands with high flexibility and scalability.

Regarding cybersecurity, the BIS-5121 is integrated with Trusted Platform Module (TPM2.0) which allows authentication of hardware devices to ensure the integrity of the hardware platform. The optional Intel QuickAssist technology (Intel QAT) helps to accelerate data encryption and compression for better efficiency of secure content delivery. It also features Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX) for isolated protection. With these advanced hardware security support, the BIS-5121 is also perfect for applications of cybersecurity.
